Go Together, Know Together: T minus 6 days

Note: Billboards are different sizes.

We all seem to have forgotten this until this weekend, when we were trying to solve the "which executions go on which billboard" puzzle, and discovered that our ~28 billboards ranged widely (...wildly) in size from landscaped 11m x 8m's to portraited 7m x 10m's to square 6m x 6m's. Not so accommodating for the nicely laid out, entirely landscape-oriented executions we've been planning on putting up.

A novice mistake.

An important one to make.

Here, proof of us working on Sunday/Eid ul-Fitr. Thank you, moon, for giving us Sunday "off" instead of Monday. (I mean that sincerely...the rest of the country is furious.)

And here, our funkily re-sized, re-designed billboards, approved and sent for production!

#1:
Communication strategy says: Reduce couples' fears/increase their confidence in their ability to talk to each other about couples HIV counseling and testing and go together for a test

Billboard says: HIV couple testing brought us closer.

#2:
Strategy says: Increase HIV risk perception among married couples.
Billboard says: Married couples are more likely to have HIV. Test for HIV together with your partner.

#3:
Strategy says: Increase HIV risk perception in couples by focusing on the reality of discordance.
Billboard says: Just because you are HIV positive does not mean your partner is too. Test for HIV together with your partner.

#4:
Strategy says: Increase HIV risk perception in couples by focusing on the frequency of discordance.
Billboard says: One out of every twenty couples living together in Uganda has different HIV test results. Do you? Test for HIV together with your partner.
#5:
Strategy says: Increase belief that discordant couples can prevent infecting the HIV negative partner.
Billboard says: He is HIV+ she is HIV- and are happily together... (upper sign) ...still he's HIV+ and she's HIV- and are still together (lower sign) Different HIV test results? Protect your partner from HIV. Start by testing together for HIV (middle strip)
Note: They aren't squashed and stretched like this in real life...
