Show me the money! Wait. Show me again.

While we were off gallivanting in Tanzania*, Uganda was scratching its head over its all new bank notes. Released on May 17th alongside the old currency, the notes are new in size, new in markings, new in color. The pinks have turned purple, the purples have turned green, the greens have turned red, turned ugly browns have turned ugly yellow.

It's confusing the heck out of everyone.

The good news - they introduced a 2,000 shilling note. Welcome to the family, blue.

*I am not, for the record, finished blogging about Tanzania. I still have to tell you about lions and tigers and bears, minus the tigers and bears, because we don't have those in Africa, oh my. Coming soonish...
