One for every two

In other malaria news, Uganda is in the midst of receiving and distributing its 17.6 million Global Fund long lasting insecticide treated nets (LLINs). While the first round of distribution will target pregnant women and children under 5 (those most vulnerable to malaria), the aim is to achieve universal coverage - defined in Uganda as one net for every two people - by December 31st, 2010.

Stop Malaria is playing a large role in all three campaign subcommittees: Operations, Logistics, and Advocacy and Social Mobilization. The ASM subcommittee (of which I am a member) has been hard at work producing campaign materials. Shown here, the fact sheet for leaders:
